Hello Bondo.
Can you please tell us how to measure snow when Lady Lake Ontario decides to cover your house up to the roof?
I bet that you can tell us from very recent experience.

Well since I am in southern California I can't be of no help to you.:couch2: But if I did have that type of technical weather glitch, then I would consider calling up a friend like WIMUSKY to come plow the snow away for me.:D

Ayuh,.... I'm well North of the snowbelt, but have family/ friends in Orwell,...
Matt's been shovelin' a couple days now,...

We've gotten but a dustin' here outside Watertown, to the North,...
Couple inches in the driveway, plows been by a couple times over a couple days,...

My Love, Deb went to Syracuse today to see a sickly brother,...
Shoulda been home an hour or so ago,...
No phone call, no worries here, she grew up in Sandy Creek/ Sandy Pond,...

If the phone does ring,.... the pickup is fueled up, pulled in, 'n sittin' on good tires,...
Again,... No worries,.... ;)

I have a customers in Kingston, ON. and Oswego NY. Always some anxiety about visiting those customers in the winter. The upside is a stroll around Fat Nancy's every time I'm up that way.

Please do come and come often. There are too many boarded up stores in that town. If you need a place to eat, try a restaurant called "The Ice House" in Mexico you will not be sorry.
Next time you go up there,go across the road from Fat Nancy. You will find the same products ,but they are 10 to 30 percent cheaper across the board.

Chaumont River, Ny

Oh, thats where you are.
I spent 3 days in Syracuse, Watertown, Carthage, and then to Star Lake for a funeral a few years ago.

Sadly, we had no time to really check the area out.
But I do remember the drive up to Star Lake :) , and the gas stations that don't have bathrooms. :(

Ayuh,.... Once ya get up past Carthage, the restroom is the 2nd tree beyond the corner of the buildin',... ;)

The snowbelt wagged it's tail last night, just after I posted above,...
We got 5 inches of snow in under an hour, then it moved back South,....

Deb talked to her nephew last night,... Well over 5 Feet of snow down Orwell way,....
That's 5 Feet of snow, in less than 3 days,.... :faint2:

I do hate the freezing rain. Fortunately we don't get it very often up this way, but it can knock power for a long time. Fortunately got my gas fireplace fixed Monday so I'm good to go.

I'd trade the snow for the freezing rain we are getting. Just waiting for the power lines to start snapping.

I doubt it. Especially if it stuck around for at least 5 months like it does up here...... :)

There are always two sides to a coin. Right now it is around 65 looking at a high of 75. But its hard to get in the spirit of Christmas when the bell ringer at Walmart is wearing shorts. My electric bill last month was $50. August it was 200.

Re: Bondo snow ratio

It started to snow here at about 3 PM . . . so I think we are gonna get our 'ratio' not sure how much snow has fallen up Bondo's way though.

I'll be heading to Vegas in a month and then West Palm Beach at the end of January for a few days. Just to get a sense of warm weather again.

I don't know, last bad one had us without power for eight days and there was no going anywhere if it wasn't an emergency. Could hardly get around even with the 4 wheel drive tractor and walking was an even money bet on remaining on your feet to go a hundred foot.

Our place at LOTO frequently loses power in storms. I have never been there for an ice storm but I know the top of the hill becomes a parking lot since most vehicles cannot scale the hill in ice or heavy snow, so most pre-position their vehicles at the top of the hill. Others just prep up with food and meds and ride it out.
