I have an old trailer that has been painted numerous times so I have no idea what the brand is. I had a flat last week and went to change the tire but the spare did not fit. It seems that the bolt spacing is not the standard 4" spacing, but more like 3 3/4". I am having difficulty finding a wheel with that pattern. HELP!

Welcome to iboats!

Sometimes when you run across an oddball size like that it's best to bite the bullet and replace the hubs with standard ones.

I would replace the hubs, upgrade to something more modern and available. 'Ya need to know your spindle size, straight or tapered. New hubs and wheel/tires should be under $200. Or, the farm stores sell entire axles....

Ayuh,... Odds are it's a homebuilt axle, that don't use standard sized hubs...

Otherwise it would be 4 on 4", or 5 on 4.5"...

If you're looking at replacing hubs make sure the spindles and your axle is worth the expense, often you can get an entire new axle for not much more than a set of hubs.

I have a Mastercraft trailer probably 50's era and am having the same problem I need two wheels one as a spare and one to replace a rusted out and bent one. Let me know if you have any luck or if you decide to replace your hubs or axles. Thanks
