The seat on my 19' Tahoe fish 'n ski is way too low with no height adjustments, is anyone using a bolster seat or a bunch o cushions? Pls let me know what your solutions is before I go spend money I don't have on something coming from China that I won't get till next year :) thx for your input!

A lot of captain's chairs have built-in bolsters. You can flip them up and sit on it. Your helm seat is likely available on the web, so you could look it up and see it's features.

If you do not have that, department stores such as Wallyworld have universal cushions, which may be close in size to your helm seat. They will be close to the right shape, but fabric, and are usually cheap.

I hear your pain. My helm seat can be adjusted forward and aft, spin around, but also like yours doesn't have up and down adjustments.

Can't the OP just replace the pedestal with a more adjustable one?

That's what I did. I just bought a taller pedestal that is adjustable.

Why is it too low? Can you not see thru the windshield?

I can see through the windshield, I'd like to be above the windshield for a better view.

Hey Billy, my boat has captains chairs with a bolster. They seem to work well. When down my head is below the windshield when up I look over the windshield.

You can search adjustable seat on this from.

Same here. I almost never am sitting low enough to see through the windshield. I boat on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers quite a bit, and there is enough debris that it helps to be up a little bit higher to see submerged logs and such.
