I am new to the boating family and would love to know if there are any boating clubs out there, so I can join and have fun for the up coming summer months. I have a Bayliner Capri 1700 LS and if there isn't any active clubs yet anyone looking to start one. I see a lot of those bigger boat out there in their clubs and it would be nice to see our bowriders doing our thing.

Are you on Facebook? If so, you NEED to check out the Upper Chesapeake Recreational Boaters page. It's a very active group, I think we've got over 200 on there now and regular meetups occur. Also this thread http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=189770 is very active in the season and is practically a boat club in itself.

May I recommend the Dundalk Sail & Power Squadron operating in the Baltimore area. www.dundalksail&powersquadron.org.....lots of social and educational activities all over the Bay....if this locale is not convenient go the the national website....www.unitedstatespowersssquadron.org and use the 'locate' seach to find a squadron in the area you want to cruise in....I know there is an active group in Annapolis and surrounding areas....plus the Eastern Shore. Good boating.
