So i have a mercruiser 3.0 alppha one and it wont start only a click. I put in a new starter and new slave solenoid and a new 50 amp circuit breaker. My battery tests at 12.76 and it just clicks. A friend came over and we took out the plugs and manually turned the motor and its not seized. im thinking it could be a bad corroded main ground. 2 weeks ago saturday i went up north to take the boat out and winterize it and it was turning over and almost had it start 2 times. After about 2 mins of attempting i started to hear just the click noise. i charged the battery for 5 hours and came back to start and still just a click. I was able to get the motor trim up so i could at least get out of the water and onto a trailer so i could bring it home and work on it. i dont know what else to check if the ground gets cleaned and still doesnt work.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Bad battery cables or connections. Could also be a bad battery. Check voltage while trying to start the engine. Bet it drops to zero
