Boat Trailer VIN

Buying a Spartan Sport trailer for a 14ft Lund aluminum. No clue on year of dragger but know it was made before (2002) Tebben Enterprises bought out original Spartan Company. Where's the VIN? Is it a stamp or sticker? Been repainted, yep, right over company decal stickers but no VIN in sight. Thoughts?

Not sure about a Spartan trailer, mine was on a sticker..I'm assuming...that was painted over also, so I never found any numbers.

If you're worried about licensing it, I just called mine a home built trailer and the Minnesota DMV didn't have a problem with it. Not sure how that works state to state though.

Ayuh,... Ditto here in NY state...

I dare say 90% of old boat trailers no longer have their Vin, anywhere on 'em...
I've got a yard full of wagons from the 80s, 'n older,... Not 1 has it's original Vin # on it, Anywhere...
