I want to buy my wife an inflatable pfd. I am thinking about giving it to her along with her mother's day gift. Sort of a second gift. Bad form or thoughtful?

Hmmmmm . . . Kinda risky. You may never hear the end of it. Ya know, "he got me a vaccuum". Would it be pretty?

QC- it is definately prettier than the orange thing she has to wear right now. My wife can't fit into her regular pfd because she is pregnant. She really won't wear the orange thing (can you blame her?) so I bought her a nice off shore inflatable, top-of-the-line of course. It is very light, at least compared to a regular pfd.

I think you give her a nice thoughtful gift that chicks dig on Mother's Day. Then you bring home the pfd a week later wrapped as a "no occasion gift." No occasion gifts are always fun.

Is it considered Taboo to give a gift early????
Mother's day is the top of the walleye fishing in this neck of the sticks.....Needless to say, I gotta be on the water without taken the doghouse...any Ideas???

Given what you have mentioned about her need for a better than normal life jacket and her joy in useing the new boat i dont think she would be to upset

My wife loves boating BUT has allways had a water fear and would love anything that made her feel safer

tommays

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll give it to her as a second gift and then try to couch it like it's not really for mother's day.

I want her to have it because I am worried about her not wearing the orange thing. She has this idea that she can put the orange thing on after she falls overboard. Since she is disabled, I'm afraid that might be easier said than done.
