Boat runs but stalls

I have a 1996 mariner 30 hp. Motor runs great for a while. Then stalls and will crank but only runs in idle. If give it gas it will stall. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

I would start with a good carb cleaning

Ok. Thanks. Motor starts and runs great. Changed out old fuel. And new fuel line from gas tank to motor and new primer bulb.
