I have a 1986 Ebco Monte Carlo that has back to back seats that I want to replace with captain chairs.

can I cut out the supports that are fiberglassed into the side and bottom of the boat or do they add support structure for the boat??

I have attached a link to a good picture of my boat.

Pictures are very small to really see any details, re size them up and I bet you will get some advice.

Zoomed in with the Ipad...looks like you just have. The box sides tabbed to the deck? If yes and there is deck underneath then I think they are safe to remove, but bigger pics would help.
