Hello everyone!
I have a new Crestliner Kodiak 16ft aluminum Deep V with a Merc 40 Tiller. All new gear.
Boat is around 800 pounds with gear...
My issues is that when I am up on plane and running wide open throttle the boat start to pull aggressively port... So much so that I have to come off the throttle. Any ideas? I have looked the motor over and there is no damage. I have installed a transducer on the transom myself after I purchased it. The transducer (just for a garmin echo) sits slightly below the hull on the port side... Could this cause this much drag as to get the whole boat the dig in and make it pull port?
Its not so much a pull as it is it almost seems like it wants to roll the top of the gunnels down into the water?
Any suggestions will greatly help! I had it out 3 time and I don't remember it doing this the first time... Now for some reason its very noticeable. Even with just me in the boat, gas, and batteries.
Thanks everyone!
