Hello All,

I am in the process of replacing stringers, bulkheads, and transom on my 1989 Glastron Sierra 199 19ft boat. I have already replaced the transom and am working on putting the stringers and bulkheads in. I am wanting to paint the interior bottom of the engine area and interior sides of the boat since I have it all opened up. What type of paint should I use for the engine area and interior sides of the boat? I need the type of paint that would be oil, fuel, and water resistant for the engine area and a paint that would be waterproof for the interior sides. Looking for recommendations, thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I had to look up what Interlux is. I found a product called Interlux Bilgekote. The product description looks exactly like what I was looking for. Thanks a lot

Re: Boat Paint

thanks for the advice. I did purchase a respirator for applying CPES (clear penetrating epoxy sealant). It an organic filter for fumes. I want to be around to enjoy the boat after I am done. I will post pics after I apply the bilgekote. I will paint it after I install the stringers and bulkhead for the engine area and aft boat. This way I will paint the whole bay that the engine sits in.
