Just bought a 1989 28’ Thundercraft running twin 6 cyl’s with merc cruiser legs. Looking for any/all manuals, info etc on this boat. Any suggestions on where/how to find documentation from operating manuals thru wiring schematics.
Thanks

Normally you won't find much of a boat manual, it's not like a car or truck in that respect.

You might get lucky though. The manufacturer may have archived documentation on their website, if they're still in business.

I was lucky with my Bayliner. Their site had all that info for my 2003 bow rider. Specs, dimensions, wiring diagrams, etc were all available.

Very few (less than a dozen) manufacturers out of almost 200,000 over the past 100 years have published a boat side manual.

The norm is a 4 page safety brochure published by the boat company, a motor operating manual (published by the motor/drive company), a trailer parts manual (published by the trailer company), and a radio manual.

The motor and drive will have service manuals ( covered in post #2 by AD ) that can be obtained.

Finding info on a boat companys website that went out of business before the internet may prove challenging
