I've seen this topic covered before and everyone advises trim tabs. I have a 25 ft Pro Sport CC with a Merc 250 EFI. with trim tabs and the boat still list to port. The trim tabs don't seem to travel up and down very far. Any suggestions or do they make trim tabs with greater travel? Thanks

What trim tabs do you have mounted?

Where is your weight distributed most (fuel tank(s), batteries, etc)?

Jtgator,

Do you know what brand of Trim Tabs you have? Also what size are they? And lastly what is the travel of the piston?

If you had photos of the Trim Tabs fully up and fully down that would be great to see if they are installed properly.

Trim Tabs do not move a whole lot, about 15 - 20 degrees total. The standard travel in a Bennett system is 2-1/2". Making them deflect more than that usually generates more drag than the additional lift is worth.

Often times the best solution is fitting larger Trim Tabs. It can be pretty easy if you have a trim tab that is for example 12" x 9". You can fit a 12" x 12" in the same mounting and you instantly have 30% more surface area. There are some other tricks too.

Let me know the size you have now and I will be delighted to help.
