Hello to everybody!

I don't know how to figure out which model and who is manufacturer of it. I have bought this small boat as a project for restoration. And in papers that come with boat is only described that is glass fibre pleasure boat. Length 4.70m by 1.90m
He was registered before in my country (Serbia) and that is not a problem. But I would like to find specifications of manufacturer. Because I would like to know what size of outboard motor is recommended by manufacturer, and how it was looked as new.

If anyone knows answers I would be grateful!
Thanks for your time!

That looks like the old Glastron that was used in the James Bond movie.

Unfortunately there are no any numbers in the hull. I have only Serbian documents for it. Probably there was some times before when is imported but now no.

I buy that boat because it reminds me on James Bonds boat and the big jump! For me personally one of the most epic scenes in old movies. But it is not GT-150.
I was looking all other glastron models that I could find but with no success.

It does look SIMILAR to the old Glastron, but I don't believe it is one. Usually the HIN is molded into the upper corner of the stern (left or right corner). You can cross reference the HIN to find the manufacturer, model, and year of the vessel.

EDIT: Sorry, I posted this as you posted that there was no HIN. Is there any serial number on the documents that you received with the boat?

Ok, maybe I didn't see properly and I miss the HIN number. I am on job now and I do not have possibility to look for it. I will be back at beginning of June. And now can't wait to get back home.
Thanks for advising I will look for number when I get back.

It will likely only have a HIN stamped in the hull if it's a U.S. based manufacturer. I'm not sure that other countries require HIN numbers.

I am pretty sure the UK and most of the European countries do … if for no other reason than they need it if the boats will be imported to the US.

Yes, most every country requires HINs. But is very complicated as the MIC is an ISO standard so duplicates numbers may be on two different boats. Importing boats from any other country than Canada can be complicated. I once a while back helped a lady trace a boat she bought in Dubai, last registered in Latvia, but made in a country which I can't remember right now. I do remember that the HIN did contain a country code also and she was trying to use the country code as the makers code.

Some of the uk boats have a hull number and certainly a makers number. But over here at least. The usual thinking that the last two numbers mean the year of manufacture, doesn’t always apply. Especially to boats before around 1983/84.

Thanks for the info, QBhoy.
