Bought this boat at an estate auction no info except family member said it was a Chris Craft. It's 14 feet in length and constructed of plywood. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure it's a Chris either the man that had it owned a boat yard and had stripped it down and had replaced some wood and began filling screw holes with West systems its in sound condition. No paper work but in process of working with state dgif to obtain reg.My gut feeling is its not a Chris Craft, But I truly don't know. Looks like some sort of kit boat to me, and not one of the CC designs.
Post a question on the "Antique Classic Boat Society" and see what they have to say.
Regardless, your registration papers should tell you what you have. If you have no papers, the boat could be a planter or scrap wood.
I will thanks
You might check in with these folk too. They're part of the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton NY.
I agree I have been in touch with va depth. Of Game and Inland Fisheries I sent in the request today for search of registration by numbers. They will reply with last owners name address make and year. Once that is done it takes 45 day to get titleIf anything you should be able to register the boat as made by you making it simpler. I would not be discouraged by posters that say without paperwork the boat is a yard planter. They are basing their opinion on the laws or their experiences in the state they live in, not the state that you live in.
