Boat Drawers

I built a couple of wooden seat bases for my 16 ft. Renken, and would like to install a drawer in each one. Can anyone tell me where to obtain an appropriate drawer slide that would work (a slide that would in some way lock in various positions). Is there a better method than regular drawer slides? What do the big boats use, in the galley for instance? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, there are better slides. These are used in both marine and RV applications. Of course, priced accordingly. RV service/supply houses carry all sorts of sizes and locking/latching solutions cheaper than marine service and supply, but not much cheaper.

12Footer,

I had tried West Marine with no luck, but an RV Supply is a great idea. Thanks very much for the suggestion. Never would've thought of that one (I'm another Newbie).

Jay
