Boat cover/tarp cleaning

I have searched for this on all of the posts but could not find an answer. I just uncovered the boat today and found the tarp to be totally covered with mold/mildew on the inside. Is there a good easy way to clean this off? My cover is not made of canvas but of a soft cloth like material. Can I use a mild bleach and water solution? I know it works wonders on moldy vinyl siding.
