I am in the middle of carpeting as we speak. I was curious how to do the hatches...mainly the lip that the hatch lid goes into. I pulled all the old carpet out and whoever did the carpet before used little V like carpet cut outs to fill in the corners....is that the best way to do it...is this the only way?
