blowed up

well I have a 50hp evinrude 1973 model(model # 50ESL73R). I was going down the lake when all of a sudden the motor starting racing. Then before I could shut it down it throughed the rod. I didnt think it was that bad until I took the cover off and the the rod is hanging out the side. <br /><br />Now my question is, dose anyone have a block for this motor. reasonably cheap, thank you

Welcome to iboats rsheene. Sorry to hear about your troubles.<br /><br />First....soliciting to buy or sell is not permitted on the forums. Mods really throw a rod when this is done.:-O<br /><br />Second....look in iboats store for a block. Usually when the block throws a rod, all that's left is junk. You can also check the iboats thrifty adds for any blocks up for sale. I believe you can also post a "wanted" sign there. <br /><br />The block you need is out there, just trying to find one may be the hard part.<br /><br />Good luck!!
