I was laying glass and resin on my new stringers Saturday in 70+ degree weather. They are calling for 1"-3" of slow in the next county over tonight. There goes getting the stringers done tomorrow...

Re: Blasted weather

The curing of resin is a chemical reaction that will take place in water. My point being that the cold will not hurt the process, if you could do it under a tarp of something you would probably be able to finish it. I dont know, just trying to make you feel better. It is 70 here. :D

Re: Blasted weather

I feel your pain, I was able to start glassing the transom in the other day due to the 70s the temp was at. Now, its a little cooler, but I have been working too late in the day, and I have been getting home at 7:00ish. Maybe today I'll get home earlier, but I am not counting on anything until the weekend....

Re: Blasted weather

The weather report ius calling for 70+ degrees Saturday.... Tennessee, don't like the weather? Wait an hour or two and it will change

I have the boat under a canopy so I can work on it, but with 30 degree temps, I'm finding other things to do like the switch panel or other things I can take indoors. My fingers don't work well after about 5 minutes outside right now. Found that out at 11pm last night when I ran out to dump some antifreece in the risers of my other boat in case teh temps fell below freezing...
