Hello, this is my first post and looking for advice from you fine people.I removed idle stabilizer from my blackmax 135 0c261170 and have lost 5 knots in speed I did not adjust timing,is this normal or should I revisit the carb work I just done, cleaned them with new gaskets. I also did heads and manifold gaskets.checked spark and comp is 123 to 125 on all 6 I am cautious to use boat if it is a lean carb, thankyou

High speed jets in carbs should be fixed. The only carb adjustments are for idle quality. You can examine the spark plugs after a high speed run for color. They should all be the same. if one is real black from fouling or real clean fro water intrusion, that could be the issue.

Checking timing is always a good idea.
