Hey, ya'll. Got a 1958 Texas Maid Falcon that we're in the process of fixing up (not restoring). Wanting to do a bimini top on it, but we have a tiller motor. I don't foresee a problem while the top is UP, but what I'm curious about is what will happen when the top is down and in the stow position. It seems to me that it'll be resting right on the tiller controls or the motor itself. But I haven't been able to find any pictures online or anything addressing the issue.

So, I'm curious what can be done and what it'll look like!

Thanks!

I think the bimini manufacturers offer an arm that the supports the bimini in a semi-upright configuration when it's closed.

I'm not seeing anything like that. Can't seem to find that magic key word to find what I'm looking for in a search. :-\

Ayuh,.... Or fold it forward,....

Thought about that already. Did a rough measurement - folding it forward when not in use will be right in the way of the front bench seat. Anyone sitting in the front it would be like they had one of those lap bars like what’s on a roller coaster. Seeing as how the boat only does 3 MPH top speed, a lap bar isn’t necessary. lol
