Has anyone tried putting a standard 6' or 8' Bimini under the factory wakeboard tower? The tower bimini's just arent big enough.

Re: Bimini Top

I saw a picture of someone with a regular bimini under a tower awhile back...I thought it looked very odd. Have you tried going to a canvas place near you to have them make you something to your size specifications?

Re: Bimini Top

I'm still wrestling with the idea of making a regular bimini fit. It has become a challenge so I am going to try some more tomorrow. But the custom idea is my backup for sure cause I need my shade !!!

Re: Bimini Top

Here it is I figured it out. Doesn't look to bad and I get shade from the windsheild to the swim platform. I'll get a custom boot made to hold it all together when its not deployed.

That's not too bad...but how will that keep YOU out of the sun?? (when you are operating the boat)

It actually works very well. The tower bimini covers the two front seats and the add on covers the back seats and the sundeck. Once the sun gets down past a certain level no top will help if it is tall enough to walk under. The biggest issue I have come across is having to fold up the add on top to use the wakeboard tower but since we usually tube and use the ski ring on the back it doesn't really matter.
