I have a 2001 SE250, bought it a year ago. I haven't had any problems yet, other than a bad smell in the fresh water tank that you guys helped me fix, thanks! I have noticed my bilge pump comes on about every two hours and pumps out about 2-3 gallons, is this normal?

I put plummers tape on the plug thinking it may be seeping in that way...didn't change a thing.

I fear, the bilge pump may go out some day and I wont realize it till it's too late! Any suggestions on what to check? Thanks in advance!

Re: Bilge Water

Hi, does that happen after a short cruise of when the engine is hot?
Had the same problem with the same boat and it was the water heater relief valve.
If that is your case too, I have a quick, safe and no cost fix.

no, just seems to seep in from somewhere. There are no visible leaks with the engine running or off. Probably just seeping in through the transom.

I would put as much water in my bilge that is allowed, then craw under her and check all the fittings to be sure no water is leaking out.

Good Luck!
