My Rule 500 pumps fine but does not pump until the float is almost at the top of its travel. Do I need a new switch or is some sort of repair/adjustment possible?
I think that is the way it is supposed to function.
Once it reaches the top of its travel, the pump should remain on until the water is evacuated and shut the pump off when it reaches its bottom position.
