Bilge Pump Installation Question

New boat owner here. 15 foot fiberglass with 40 merc outboard. I want to install a manual bilge pump and i see that there already is an exhaust port installed near the stern but can for the life of me figure out how to feed a hose in there. It looks like a closed hull and I can't see any access to that hole. my buddy has a similar boat and I know that that port is for bilge exhaust. Thanks.

To let everybody understanding what you are dealing with, we need more information. So post a picture or three so we can understand your situation and then we can address your problem with better ideas and suggestions.

Thanks gm280! So I am still learning all of the proper nomenclature. What I meant was a bilge pump outlet. I have a bilge pump outlet and two bilge exhaust vents but can't see any access to the lower part of the hull to install a pump and run a hose to the outlet. I have a photo but iboat says i'm not authorized to post photos

Oh man, and I should have said I want to install an electric bilge pump. Not a manual one. That made no sense.
