I'm wanting to replace the bilge drain tube in a 85' fiberglass transom that's holding a 150 Johnson.

My thought is a brass one. (Don't mind buying the crimp tool) it has a metal one now.

Is there a better choice?
Any tips?

Are any of those easier to use.
Do any of them work better than the other?

I assume 5200 is the sealer to use?

The expansion mandrel is what seals the tube to the transom

Got it, I'll use whatever metal that was used before. Guess it was good enough to last almost 40 years.
And no need for the sealer.

Thanks again for your help.
Didn't want to tear into it without a plan.

The 5200 cant hurt, think of it as belt and suspenders
