Hello I have issues with this pumps, in a nitro 185 SS, none of them are working through the switches, connecting them directly to the battery they seem to work, so I think it's something bad on the wiring, anyways I'm looking below the dash panel and I see the switches go directly to this things, see picture below... What are those things?

According to the AI this should be a relay... By the clicking noise I heard that could be right. I contacted Marine Electronics and also Nitro customer service, they were not of much help, looks like documentation for this boats that old is not available.
I don't see the reason for a delay though bilge pump is not a high load device... Maybe I could just bypass it.

Start with a voltmeter and trace voltages. Relays are used when the current carrying capabilities is not sufficient or where more than one item is turned on/off

Marine Electronics replied back they said this is a timer POD, does anyone knows why is a timer needed in bilge and live well pumps? I can understand one of the livewells has a "auto" mide in the switch, maybe it uses the time to turn on time to time the pump, I don't see a use in the bilge I rather use a float switch than a timer. Anyone with experience on timers for this pumps?
Thanks

Very common feature in a live well system to conserve power.
Certainly could be used to cycle the bilge pump as well, but there are much more efficient ways of doing it these days

I'm thinking in just bypass the timers, I don't really use the live wells but for bilge I think is just better a float switch.
