would be a blast wouldnt it?seriously though the averge joe hears the word canoe and thinks of those little tin sportspals!they have no clue that there are also the big boys out there, because their rarely seen other than up in the far north of canada or alaska.I understand now....wow. I could have a blast around here, it would be like my moped passing a Harley. I can see myself passing a big sportfish....blowing the horn......"get outta my way"

I have a really big canoe. It's 23 feet long. A couple days ago I stumbled across a 35 hp Evinrude really cheap. I can't stop myself.
Any advice?
I'm curious, with enough power, does a canoe "plane out"?
why such a big motor on a canoe? waterskiing????

One of my buds put a 25hp on a row boat 14ft i believe, that was rated for a 15 hp max. Gave er' a twist and went air borne!! YEE HA !!!
A friend of my son's put a 140hp (I think) motorcycle engine in a 12 footer. Said he was afraid to go over about 70mph.

P.S. He's still alive too.
