Hi,

Am I better off getting my slightly bent and chipped skeg repaired or just buying a skeg guard? Please give me some feedback on your experience with this product. It should cost about the same, but whats better?

If you have not seen what my skeg looks like already check my site http://www.justgowireless.com/boat/

Thanks

Go with the Skegaurd, MCU. It's a perminent repair, and holds-up well....til you hit that sandbar again
Just joshin, but if by chance you do, it's designed to break-away, thus saving your lower unit in many cases.

I left message on your other posting... carry to prop repair facility... have them manipulate the skeg via bending to straighten... mine was much more bent that your & he bent it back... works fine. Also look at adjustment knob on steering wheel to set torque so when you let go it holds boat straight.

fone_man
