I am getting ready to reconstruct the interior of my 85 Bayliner capri. I am planning on using 1/2" exterior ply for the side panels wrapped w/ 1" foam and marine vinyl from Joanne's. I would like to find out what some of you guys have used for sealing the ply to prevent rot. I have heard thompson's and some have used paint. Please feel free to chime in and let me know what has worked for you. the original panels lasted 25 years and did not look sealed but had significant rot-
THanks:)

Welcome to iBoats!
If you want them to last 50+ years buy a gallon of epoxy resin. Give em two coats then paint them with Rustoleum Premium Oil based paint.

I'm Just sayin...:D
