Paint lost/rust 2012 F150 what’s the best way to fix this?

Been a while since I’ve fixed any rust on a car and they were much older than this truck. I believe the bed is aluminum?

aluminum bed started in 2015

sand down flaking paint
re-etch any exposed metal
spray sealing primer
sand
spray 2nd coat of primer
sand
spray 3 light coats of color
spray 4 light coats of clear
sand
buff
wax.

Same as AD in #3 above, except after sanding the rust to a shine, apply Locktite Extend aerosol. Just wipe off any over spray. It only reacts with bare steel/iron.
Also you should pull the weatherstrip from the top of the door jamb. I'm certain the rust extends below this. Crud collects above the weatherstrip and sets up corrosion.
Try to find the Aerosol can shown below. It's a bit more pricey, but it's solvent based vs the water based stuff in the blue cans.
