SCO,

You are correct. Tylenol and aspirin are different.

There is poisoning going on, that's true. There is also severe dehydration going on.

Alcohol and water don't mix, in more ways than one. Anyway, the alcohol drives the water from your cells. One needs to get rehydrated.

Lots of aspirin, lots of water.

Acetaminophen is a good pain killer and is often recommended over aspirin when aspirin's acidity and anticoagulation are not desirable.

But, as SCO points out, it should not be taken when there is alcohol in your system.

Some "extra strength" products contain aspirin, acetaminophen and caffiene. Excedrin is an example. Good pain killers, bad if you are drinking.

Many or us are heart patients and are prescribed to take aspirin daily for anticoagulation. DO NOT take acetaminophen or Excedrin! The acetaminophen blocks the anticoagulation effect of the aspirin. My doc just told me about that last week, so it must be new knowledge.

Asprin in normal times tries to cause an ulser on the wall of the stomach. Add a little alcohol is like putting oxygen on a fire. I strongly recommend coated asprin for a slow release. Your in no rush for at least 8 hours.

Try this one...

Come home completely wasted, start through the house, trip over your own feet, fall face first into the puter stand, roll over and lean up against the wall and wonder what that is running down your face and Hey! were'd my glasses go. Guaranteed that the next time out, you'll just watch others get wasted.

Jim
