Hi All. I have a 2001 Larson 230 LXI Bowrider. I Have been searching for a ski locker for some time now. All websites, including E-Bay have ski lockers, however the dimensions are way off. The rough measurments are 19 inches wide, by 32 inches long.I was thinking about building one myself, has anybody even done, if so, any sugestions? Thanks!

Re: Best way To Build a Ski Locker

Are you talking about building a ski-locker cover???

If so, why not cut one out of plywood with a finger hole for removal, then fiberglass it on both sides to seal it up, and then paint/carpet/whatever to match your existing floor.

Or you could build one of the slat type covers using teak, but that would probably cost a fortune. A different hardwood would also work, but you would need to keep it sealed.

Re: Best way To Build a Ski Locker

My brother in law has the exact same boat and his has a ski locker under the rear bench seat, does yours or do you have more skiis than it will hold. To cut one into the floor would be alot of work, time, and $$. I think I would look at the no tower needed ski racks instead. One question have you ever had a problem with water getting into the gas tank? every year my bil gets some water in his tank no matter what he does to winterize it is very weird and we have no idea how it's happening. Just wondering if anyone else with the same boat has had this problem?
