If I get one that big I'll be sure to take a picture and put it on this Forum along with another "thank you" to all of you for your help. Happy fishing! :D :D

I know it has be too late for your fishing trip, but I swear by little cleos. I have even caught large mouth bass on them. (October Northern Wisconsin, Real cold day snowing with patches of sun.) Northern love them. Silver/blue. When in Ontario for a week, I caught well over 100 northerns on them and three of us landed Muskies with them. We had already tried everything and were getting nothing. The guy in the boat with me, put the Cleo on as the last resort and started yanking Northerns in like crazy. I tried same color in a Johnson minnow and got nothing. He gave me his backup Cleo and out of 3 boats, we were the only ones catching fish. Not only catching fish, but literally yanking them in one after the other. The bronze color works well in stained water. Even the daredevils did not catch them that one day. Since then, the Cleo has been a staple for me in late fall.

Hi Scoop,

Thanks for the idea of using the Little Cleo lures. I have not tried them before. We are heading to Northern Winnesota/Quetico in two weeks :) ...the second week of September, So I'll try to get some of these lures and try them. A lot of what I have heard says that chartreuse seems to be a great color for walleye. Have you ever tried a Little Cleo in yellow/red or chartreuse color pattern for northern, walleye or smallmouth bass?

BV, Never tried them yet. I have several different colors but never seem to get out enough. The blue and silver and the brass have always worked so well. While in Canada, we walked into a place that had a whole wall of them. I would suspect they do a good trade in them. Good luck on the trip.

The cleos definetly work. I've had the best luck with those and the daredevils. The cleos with the "dimples" have really worked well for me. It seems they flash more and help to induce strikes from the bigger fish. In any event good luck.
