The other shoe that I like, but it doesn't give you as much lateral support, are the oofas. Man are they comfortable. They are a great recovery shoe.

I get a kick out of the people who say their favorite shoe company has changed sizes from what they used to be. Are these the same people who while in their mid 40's complained about their favorite newspaper going to a smaller type face with ink that was not quite as black?

I will guaranty that supporting your weight on the same pair of feet for 85 years will make them wider and am still holding on to a pair of Tony Lama's and a pair of Justin's that I might get into again some day.

That being said 90% of the time I wear Muck shoes.

Actually, the stuff I saw about the changed sizing came from runner’s forums. I don’t think everybody’s feet suddenly got wider…

Buy new inserts for the shoes you like but are old. I use slip-on shoes everyday at work. Home improvement/ repair sales. Never walk into a house with shoes unless the owner tells you it is okay.

My current boots, for winter, are Keen's, loosely tied with upgraded inserts. Don't even have to bend over to get them on and off.
