Re: Best Lure

Spinnerbait, hand down (with Indiana blade silver/gold combination)....a Berley Powerbait green pumpkin ribbon tail worm would be the other bait I would take with me if I can only have two.

Re: Best Lure

Definitely a soft plastic worm. My color of choice is Junebug(dark red with flecks of green).

I've got yellow, orange and black flatfish like that handed down from my dad. Maybe I'll give them another try.

This is very true, sometimes the suttle action of swimming a jig is just the ticket, they move a lot of water too.

A hawg frog works great for a trailer when swimming a jig and you can stick a trailer hook in it.

Good call.

Re: Best Lure

My favorite is the 1- in shallow water and the Flatt Maxx in depper water. If that fails, any kind of rubber will usually work.

Re: Best Lure

The other day I got a chacne to finally throw the new X-Rap from Rapala and I was totally blown away. I only got to fish it for 30 minutes from the bank of a small resevior. I caught two Large Mouths but from what I can see the action of it is fantastic. Can't wait to get out on the open water with it and try for some hogs.
