Talked to my doctor about that and he said 100% fail rate after getting off drug because no one changes lifestyle. If it gets to a hundred or so a month I'll consider it but at current rates I'll just die early. And happy.

We have just had Popeyes open in Invercargill.....right opposite KFC . General consensus is that its pooze and peeps are lining up at KFC while popeyes is pretty much empty .I havnt tried it .....probly wont bother .
We just did groceries and by leaving out all the bad stuff we have saved about 30%.......beer sticks are good aye? 😁

Serving sizes are an issue too. It seems as if nearly everyone eats 2-3 times what they need. Wife made pizza last night. Big, thick slice of cheese and meat. None of it good for dieting and I really didn’t need to eat 2 slices. Half of one would have been a truer “serving”.

I need to lose closer to 60 pounds. I have cut out most sodas even though I drink diet. Experimenting with alternatives but they are few. I have been drinking water with meals for years but he flavored waters leave little to be desired. There is a regular pop on the shelf that has natural ingredients and only has 35 calories per can. It’s not bad.

I also finally managed to convinced my wife to quit buying the snack cakes and cookies we always kept for the grandkids and try to keep apples and bananas around to snack on.

I need more exercise and smaller portions. I also have to stay out of the house because I graze all day long if I am inside.

I'm a "insulin" is the inflammatory problem in the body. Insulin is a reaction to sugar in the body. Cholesterol is a repair reaction to the inflammation on our arteries. I don't look at cholesterol as being "bad".
Sugar spikes are the result of sugar, carbs.....and from what I've gathered diet "sugar free" products still stimulate insulin production...I absolutely loved sugar, carbs (still do)...so I know how hard it is to restrict them.
+regular gym. No late night snacks.
So basically....Keto.

I like Popeyes better, especially the spicy. To me, it's less greasy than KFC.

I can’t bring myself to eat that “ stuff” I refrain from any of the fast food places for the most part. Once in a great while might stop at Mickey Dees drive through on way home from lake, and then it’s just one hamburger.

Fast food isn't automatically bad for you or your diet. Reasonable amount of food, aka calories, is fine.

I do Jr whopper, sometimes a small fries, bring my own drink
I do hamburger happy meal, with fries and diet coke
I do 2 to 3 crispy tacos, bring my own drink
I do bigge bag with 4 nuggets and a Jr bacon hamburger

If im pushing it, I will do all that in a month.

My problem with calories is drinking.

One other thing to consider to help loose weight is when you eat what you eat. Do not eat after 6 pm, no snack no treats. Anything you eat after 6 is going to your gut, espically in the winter when we tend to not be as active in the evenings.

Another way to 'diet' is to completely chew every bite and putting smaller bites on your fork/spoon. Esp helpful when struggling with portion control. Eating slower allows your stomach to signal you're getting full before you over eat.

Movies and popcorn are a downfall for me. So i try eating a single kernel at a time, which slows me down and I get full before I max out.....

I’m lucky that I don’t have access to fast food.
The Popeyes chicken sandwich was my favorite 35 years ago. My friends hated me for it as they cooked them to order and it took 8 minutes so they were always waiting on my order. Last year I happened to be close to a Popeyes and it was very tempting but I chose not to do it incase it wasn’t what I remembered it being. I like the memory I have of it now and will keep it that way.
I couldn’t stand KFC that some nasty stuff.

I lost 20 pounds 3 months ago that I had wanted to lose for years.
My gall bladder died, I started puking constantly and then had emergency surgery to remove it.
Then they gave me a new antibiotic that I was really allergic to that screwed me up some more.

I didn't/couldn't eat for a week and now hope I can keep the weight off.

When I had my intestine chopped up I lost 25 in the recovery. Once my colon started working properly again I went back to standard habits / lifestyle and all back.

"healthy" eating.....it's a conundrum.
a personal choice based on one's knowledge and/or beliefs....and whats hanging around the waist. 🤔
Babies, kids....get cancer.
Olders live into 90's, 100's and maybe they started every day with a shot of bourbon and a cigar. Livers as healthy as can be.
Non/never smokers get lung cancer.

Me?...I'm just playing the odds.

Some sort of processed meat product. Chicken lunch meat?? Hot dog?
Hatfield meats is not real far from here. I know a guy that worked there for a while. Said I wouldn’t eat hot dogs if I saw how they made them.
