Hello all!,its been awhile since i posted or have been in the forum..can someone please direct me to threads regarding how to replace or repair bellows for my 2.5 alpha 1 outdrive.its on a 89 marlin with a 2.5l,120hp chevy motor...TIA..

Sorry,but i dont have a factory manual.just purchased the boat used a few weeks ago

I like to trial fit everything,so I'm not fooling around once I put the glue on

Ayuh,..... If ya follow the factory manual, step by step, to the "T", ya oughta come through it, without bloodyin' yer knuckles,..... ;)

I've found usin' a 1/4" drive ratchet, 'n various extensions, wobblies, 'n sockets beats usin' a screwdriver for the clamps,....
'n be Sure to clock the clamps, exactly as stated in the manual,...
Otherwise, ya might cut a brand new bellows 1st time ya turn full tilt, or trim full up,...

What Bondo said about the tools above.

I've had one of those silly springy flexible 1/4" extensions about 8" long or so in my tool chest for 30yrs & never used it for anything until I replaced my bellows. It was a breeze with that silly thing.
