No need to drain the outdrive oil. You will want to have the maintenance manual for the Alpha 1 Gen2. If the shift cable is in good shape and the outdrive shifts fine, you may not need to replace the cable. Otherwise, it would be the time to do so.
You will need a bunch of special tools that are outlined in the maintenance manual. Off the top of my head . . .
Pivot pin removal tool
Intake hose fitting tool
Bellows retainer ring installation tool
Outdrive alignment tool
Shift cable adjustment tool
Exhaust bellows tool (unless you do the tube instead of the bellows)
Might be $150 in tools
