Re: Beer Cannon

I'm confused . . . I loosely know how to build and shoot a potato cannon, but what is the propellant on a beer cannon? It appears they shoot empty cans? I thought I saw an air line in one of those related videos. Compressed air?

Re: Beer Cannon

It's compessed air as a propellant and the cans are full of sand (they drank the cheap beer). If you go to http://www.milbestlight.com/home.aspx and are old enough to enter the site they tell the story.

Not too impressed due to how close to the target they are.

Re: Beer Cannon

That was about the most anemic cannon I've ever seen, looked like the can just barely made it out of the barrel.

We used to make hair spray powered spud guns that would loft a spud over a 60" tree 200 yds away... kinda scary when the guns were made out of ABS sewer pipe.
