Re: bayliner
Nothing is really wrong with them per-say.
They are considered an "Entry-level" boat
by some (not me), and aquiered a bad rep by
poor customer service and jiffy procedures in the fiberglass work.
But the reputation is not deserved,if you ask me.
I had more hull problems with PenYann, and they have one of the best reputations in boating....Go figure
But the company has gone way out there to change their reputation, and therfore, the customer service issue is null-n-void, if you axe me.
a a MOF, I had only one hull-related problem on my 1989 hull. I went to Bayliner dealer, and he spent 20minutes searching for the right part. He came up empty-handed,stating that the part was "no longer available" in the data fish. He hunted and hunted, and finally came back with what I needed. It was
a later miodel of the same, but gave it to me for the cost of the part I needed, told me if it don't fit, bring it back, and he'll MAKE one. He was being funny, but made it clear to me, he would stand behind it no matter what.
In closing, here is my baby 'liner.
