Ok, so I did a post on how to do some stuff a while back and got a lot of good feed back from you folks. So I am going to through some stuff out there and see if I can get some more good feed back on what I want to do, shoudl do, and what is a little on the not so much needed side. Sorry for the length but I am getting close to doing the final touches and dont want to have to re-do anything once it is all in.
1, so I am going to be putting in a nice stereo and want to know if I need to put in a second battery to help keep from draining out the main battery when sitting and listening to music? I will have the head unit, two 6" speakers and two 1" speakers in the front run off the head unit. In the rear there will be two 6"x9" speakers and possible two more 1" speakers with (when I get the money and design down for the boxes) one possibly two 8" woofers with and amp. With all this stero, I am a little worried that I will drain a singal battery after sitting in the water with the stero blaring music. Any ideas?
2, so if I need the two batteries, I am wanting to move some of the wieght from the rear to the front since I am going to have a little more stereo in the aft of the boat. There are 2 cubbies in the front under the bow seats that will hold the batteries, and was thinking fo putting them there, but not sure if there is a reason for them being in the rear. I have it all planned out for tie downs and bigger battery cables to run to the front, but not sure if a good idead even with bigger cables.
3, I had asked about some interor fabic choices, and was wondering if the marina vynal from Joann Fabrics are whorth the price. I have found some that are a lot more costly, but I am looking for a cheaper root, since like most, it is the easyer choice on the walet.
4, I am wanting to replace the light on the bow of the boat, but I have found so many different lights and do not know what to get. The people at Boaters World are not that helpful, and all the other marina stores dont care to look at me when I go in to ask questoins and not drop money, so I need some one to give me an idea of a good light to use for a 16' boat on the bow. I am not sure how powerful of a light I need for this boat, but do need one with a little bit bigger base to cover up some of the fubars the last guy had made on it. If you have some links to good lights that wont cost an arm and a leg, let me know, I am all eyes.
5, I am looking to put lights on the interior of the boat, but not sure if I should due to wanting to put a nice stereo in it, but if I able able to I want to put four quad LED bars in the aft of the boat and two quad LED bars in the bow of the boat. Any ideas on if this is to much power draw.
Well that is all for now. I am sorry for the long post, but I am just getting into this whole boat restoreing stuff, and dont know enough about them yet. And since I didnt mention what the boat is, it is a 16' 83 Bayliner Capri Bow Rider with a Yamaha 85 O/B.
Thank you much in advance for any and all advise!
