The boat I have is a 2002 Bayliner 2152CY. It has a MerCruiser Inboard 235HP engine. The problem that I am haveing is while the boat is underway, everytime I turn left, the engine has a high-pitch sound that I feel isn't normal. Sometimes if I adjust trim while turning left, it will decrease. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Since it't only a 21' boat, and Bayliner, it's NOT an Inboard. It's an I/O (Inboard engine outboard drive)
Anyway, your problem is probably water in the ujoint bellows which allows water to get into your ujoints and gimbal bearing. When they get rusty and rough they make noise, and when trimming and turning, it changes the sound.
Pull the outdrive and look for water in the bellows.

Welcome to iboats..... :) Do what Don S. says..... If you have no water intrusion then I would look at engine/alighnment & gimbal bearing..J

Gee, Mine makes noise also when I turn, I just assumed it was the swimming platform rattling!

Now I will have to take a look at my outdrive!

U joints and Gimbal Bearing check first! If its full of water and rusted the boots leaked, do yourself a favor, do all the boots, lower shift cable and gimbal bearing. You can buy it as a complete kit, so do it right the first time.
