I have a friend trying to sale me his 1988 bay hawk center console, it's reminds me a lot of the Kenner ski barges. It comes with a running Johnson vro 110 that runs. It has some soft spots in the floor, and I know what that normally means soft deck-soft stringers- bad transom. He wants $900.00 I'll get some pics tomorow. Ok guys have at it opinions please

If that Johnny is a good engine needing nothing and the rest of the boat looks at least presentable, you probably have a good candidate for a rebuild. But I think all boats need to be saved.

I've just never Owens a boat with that semi flat hull looks like it would ride like a dump truck, allso it looks like a entry level boat kind of cheaply built

My opinion is that you're a sucker for rotten boats bubba. For that kind of money I'd have a mechanic check that motor first before any money changed hands, or a compression check at the very least. $900 is a fair chunk of change for a motor and trailer with a free boat.

I do think you'd look kinda cute wearing a full face respirator though:painkiller:

My wife told me to forget the respirator and just put a plastic bag over my head, I wonder what she's trying to say

Yes that's the boat I swear it looks bigger than that. It's wide but looks like it would need a lot of water to run in ether. Motor runs he did away with the vro and uses mix gas so the vro low oil alarm goes off every cpl minutes

She's trying to tell you to quit screwing around with those old rotten boats and put those flower beds in around the house that you've been promising her.

Yup VRO's had that problem so everyone did pretty much the same thing. I've read that it's a pretty good engine.

That's going to be a lot of plywood, epoxy resin, and pour in foam to fix that floating pile of rot.
