Battery drain Minn Kota 30 vs. 50

I'm thinking about buying a endura transom mount 50 off of someone. What will be the difference in battery drain of a 30 vs. 50? I would use the slow speeds most of the time and only use the higher speeds if I was on a lake where I can't run my gas motor.

Endura trolling motors use speed coils to scrub off power at slow speeds (diverting power through the speed coils) so they use about the same power at slow speeds as when running wide open. A 50# speed coil trolling motor will use more power than a 30#, probably 1/3 more,,, all of the time.

If this were a digital TM, the 50# would be equal to the 30# in the amount of power it uses, for the same amount of thrust.
