I have a pontoon boat that I would like to add a battery charger. I am concerned about electrolisys. (SP) Has anyone done this, and what do I need to do to protect myself?<br /><br />Thanks
Jollymon, unless you have really hairy legs you don't have to worry about electrolysis.<br /><br />But seriously, is it electrolytic corrosion that is concerning you? If the source of the corrosion is from stray voltage between shore power and the boat's DC bonding system you need a galvanic isolator.
