[2004 Pathfinder]

I have a 2004 Pathfinder. I have a 24 volt trolling motor with 2 deep cycle batteries with on board charger for them.My third battery runs all my other electronics 3 live wells gps radioplus cranking.If I'm not running and using my live wells I have a problem starting sometimes will not start.I have a battery select switch I'm thinking of adding a 4th battery just to run electronics and keeping the other just for cranking is this possible and how do I wire it and do I need a isolator.

I would used the trolling batteries for almost everything except the engine. It's the live wells that really use the power. The radio should not mater. Check how much the other items draw. They have wiring diagrams at the head of this forum if you still want to add a battery.

Your live wells should have timers on them. There is no need to run them continually. If you have a battery select switch, is one of the troller batteries tied into it? If it is, switch to that battery when you are fishing. The other loads will then run off that battery. Yes -- it will cut down troller run time but you will be able to start the engine by switching back to the start battery. I don't see where you need a fourth battery unless you have the room and the added weight is not performance issue for the boat/motor combination.
