Base Timing

84 Merc I4 3.0 HP conventional.....Well I need to re-time my engine again it appears I did it wrong. I cannot seem to find a thread I had read corresponding to my engine. I believe it is Serv Manual 6. I need to set the dwell which I know have a meter and I know the advance needs set correctly for base timing and then take out of base and time again. Just need some help on it if anyone could assist. I am a young one so I am not seasoned on points and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.\

Also I HAVE ordered the OEM manual and got rid of the stupid Clymer's one I have just haven't received my new one yet and would like to get this done today if at all possible.

If someone could even just send a link on the thread with the steps I might be looking for it would be greatly appreciated.

The Base Timing Mode thing is Only for the new T-Bolt V systems......

I guess I will just have it tuned at the marina then, I would rather spend less to have that done than for more major repairs from mistakes....thanks for the advice though.
