Bad weekend Need Help.

Ok so my family and i went out saturday the boat ran good on the way in I try to start the boat and it was having trouble turning over then the starter just started spinning.I replaced the starter but when i took the exhaust manifold off it was very dirty and rusted so i pulled out one of the spark plugs and water came gushing out.I have new manifolds on the way but do you think the engine is shot.No water in oil.

Did you get the water out of the engine that day? Was it saltwater or freshwater? If you got it out that day, you should be ok, especially if you squirted some fogging oil in the cylinders. If you waited till late Sunday and it was saltwater, you might have ruined the engine.
